What's an agent?¶

A chat tool answers your messages. An agent can also take steps toward a goal, such as searching the web, reading documents, or editing files. What it can do depends on the tools and permissions you give it.

You still decide whether the work is useful. A fluent answer can be wrong, and a completed task can miss the point.
